Organization
The organization’s nearly year-long strategic planning process yielded enthusiastic adoption of an updated CRSW-KENYA mission, vision and set of values; strategic goals and an associated set of strategic objectives through which each goal will be pursued; and preliminary, broad-scale agreement about organization roles, core regions and vital groups to pursue in the years ahead.
CRSW-KENYA’s work is powered by our mission, vision and values. These core tenets will guide how we seek to build authentic relationships with diverse partners and communities – including the region’s community; cultural, religious and business institutions; donors; community and partners. Developed and adopted through collaborative dialogue among our board of directors and staff, the following statements mutually reinforce and support each other. Taken together, they define how, why and where we aim to lead and partner.
Development
The current focus is on establishing a social media and communications presence, expanding outreach activities, gaining a solid fundraising and network base and continuing to support the efforts of local community-initiated organizations. Expanding the scale and establishing the groundwork of the organization through these objectives is crucial to sustaining the organization’s relevance within the international community and policymaking structures and extending its reach across various development topics. Aiming to continue to reinforce the organizational capacity of its local organizations will furthermore set the groundwork for membership growth within Africa and will contribute towards furthering the organization’s vision.
Operation Plan
Through its operation, CRSW-Kenya will strive to enable greater self-representation and socioeconomic independence, with an emphasis on solidarity and empowerment. Through focus groups, mapping activities, field visits and referral services. The organization has been able to establish its presence and continues to tailor its services to demonstrated community requirements and needs, with a particular focus on advocacy and the provision of legal, health, social and economic resources. For the coming period, the organization hopes to continue to engage stakeholders in discussion on key initiatives, contributing to international and national forums and supporting the efforts of its community.
Monitoring & Evaluation
Monitoring factors relevant to implementation of organization strategies, projects, and activities. Factors include the environmental, economic, social, or political factors that may affect implementation, as well as how local actors, their relationships, and the incentives that guide them affect development results. Then evaluations on relevant to track time frame and focus beyond the scope of individual activities and attempt to incorporate aspects related to the overall organization. Through theory of change intersectionality, local ownership and sustainability of results achieved after the end of a project. The organization will work with partners and stakeholders to learn from the programs and its activities throughout implementation and act on that learning to adaptively manage the project. Build our learning and evaluation capacity by developing a meaningful, responsive and right-sized approach to evaluating the impact of our programming and promoting a culture of learning and data-informed institutional practices
